**Position Overview:** Determines and revises clinician and patient scheduling, and works under the direction of clinicians to schedule and coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures. **Position Overview:** Reporting to the Director of Therapeutic Services, the Manager of Social Work and Ancillary Therapies, provides leadership and management to the Social Work, Recreational Therapy, and other Ancillary Therapies. The Manager is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient therapy services using both individual and group therapy modalities. In addition the Manager will assure that social work staff facilitate community support services, housing, specialized treatment and social welfare services as needed that meet the needs of our patients as available in the community. Further the Manager of Social Work and Ancillary Therapies will ensure that recreational therapy is provided to assist patients in developing interest and motivation in life activities, leisure and to support their well being. All therapy services should be provided in the context of a recovery oriented model of care which supports self-determination, hope, recovery and wellness, while incorporating family involvement and culturally appropriate and holistic care. Through the use of evidence-based treatments and performance measurement systems the Manager of Social Work and Ancillary Therapies demonstrates that services provided to patients are specific to their condition and have a measurable effect in reducing patient symptoms and improving patient level of function. Through on-going education of staff the Manager assures staff competency and a common knowledge base across all providers within a department. Through leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration and treatment design the manager assures that treatment approaches provided by departmental personnel are co-facilitated by nursing staff and incorporated into milieu therapy.
