United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** AECOM is seeking a seasoned Landscape Designer to join the Environmental Planning team in our Sacramento office. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate technical excellence and an established career in Landscape Architecture preferably with a portfolio that includes both private sector and public agency clients. The successful candidate would become a part of a dynamic northern California Environmental Planning team that enjoys excellent relationships with a wide range of local, regional, and state agencies, as well as private and nonprofit clients. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following: + Support in preparation of schematic and conceptual designs, construction drawings and specifications, cost estimates, and illustrative drawings and computer generated graphics; project coordination; and project site visits to conduct site assessments, monitoring, or construction oversight. + Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations + Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables. + Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups. + Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required. + Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets. + May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project. + May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel. **About AECOM** At AECOM, we believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. We work together across our global network to bring the best resources, skills and efficiencies to our projects. **Minimum Requirements** + BA/BS in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Ecological Restoration or a related field + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Strong working knowledge of CA native plant ID and CA natural communities classes, plant taxonomy, ecology and native plant requirements and preferences. + Minimum of 4 years of experience with an emphasis on native plant landscape and sustainable design, and ecological restoration. **Preferred Qualifications** + Strong working knowledge of CA native plant ID and CA natural communities classes, plant taxonomy, ecology and native plant requirements and preferences. + Experience with both private and public sector projects is preferred, but not required. + Excellent written communication skills, grammar, writing and report preparation capabilities. + Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, AutoCad, Acrobat.
