United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** **AECOM** is seeking a self-motivated experienced Hydrogeologist or Geologist for our Sacramento CA offices. In this important position, the successful candidate will support Project Managers in the planning, oversight of fieldwork, evaluation of hydrogeologic and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects in Southern California. Projects include large Federal clients, Refineries, and numerous commercial clients This is a Project Manager or technical Lead -track position, therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through inclusion and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Project Managers. For the right candidate, this position holds significant growth potential. Under the supervision of a Project Manager or senior-level team member, the successful candidate will: + Assist Project Managers to successfully deliver projects on-schedule and on-budget utilizing internal AECOM systems + Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks + Able to oversee and lead well installation and sampling tasks + Assist with environmental investigation and remediation tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary project team + Develop subcontractor relationships and manage implementation of their services + Assist with report writing tasks with the support of more junior staff + Task manage portions of a larger projects Under the responsible charge of qualified professionals, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Assist with collecting and evaluating geological, hydrogeological, and remediation system data in both field and office settings + Environmental fieldwork including drilling, well installation, aquifer testing, as well as collecting soil, groundwater, and remediation system data + Preparation and implementation of work plans, cost estimates, data compilation/analysis, and report preparation (text, tables, figures, and calculations) + Perform independent hands-on fieldwork, oversee contractors (laboratory, drillers, surveyors), and other field personnel, and interact with clients/client representatives + Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope + Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance + Participate in and support discussions with regulatory personnel + Participate in and support business development activities, including proposals + Ability to work independently or on a diverse team + Willingness to learn and commitment to workplace health and safety, and quality + Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member **About AECOM** At **AECOM** , we believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone.
