**AECOM** is seeking an experienced wetland ecologist/biologist to support our strong environmental team supporting some of California's most exciting and important projects. This position is located out of our Oakland, CA office. We are seeking a skilled, adaptable, motivated individual to join our group of more than 100 environmental professionals in the Bay Area.
This position would support a variety of projects in northern California, with a focus on wetland delineations, field assessments and surveys, reporting, and environmental permitting. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Conducts delineations of wetlands and waters to determine the limits of federal and state jurisdiction.
+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge on current regulations regarding wetlands and waters.
+ Uses technical expertise to assess wetlands and waters and provides strategies and recommendations on avoidance and minimization of impacts.
+ Provides support and leadership on environmental permit application preparation.
+ Supports a variety of biological tasks, including biological surveys (botanical, wildlife, etc.), construction monitoring, and preparation of technical reports.
+ Contributes as an active and positive member of AECOM’s Impact Assessment and Planning practice in the SF Bay Area.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
+ 6+ years of relevant work experience.
+ Trained and experienced in conducting delineations of wetlands and waters. Experience in arid west wetlands, streams, and riparian habitats is preferred.
+ Has been lead author of jurisdictional delineation reports.
+ Knowledgeable about plant species found in wetland habitats, and is capable of identifying and keying out plant species.
+ Experience in preparing permit application packages for submittal to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Board.
+ Experience preparing permit application packages for submittal to California Coastal Commission.
+ Experience with field data collection tools such as Collector, Trimble units, and others.
+ Expertise in California wildlife and/or plants.
+ Working knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act.
+ Certified Practitioner for California Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM).
+ Has a positive attitude and is adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Highly organized with a strong detail-oriented work style.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
