With world class technical expertise, leading edge technology and innovative project delivery capability around the world, AECOM’s global environmental practice helps industry and government meet their business goals – to achieve compliance, reduce or eliminate risks and manage impacts. We provide advisory and technical services to help clients cleanup and close contaminated sites and surplus operational facilities and restore them for reuse, plan and permit new facilities, address critical climate change issues, restore habitats and water quality, protect natural and cultural resources, maintain compliance, and cost effectively manage residuals and wastes.
**For this position, the candidate will perform construction duties including:**
+ General construction support (equipment spotting, hand digging, pipe fitting, concrete, demo, and painting).
+ General environmental support
+ Sample collection assistance (soil, sludge, water, vapor)
+ Process pipeline installation and repair
+ Traffic control functions.
+ Will be tasked with leading small jobs as skills allow.
+ HS + 3 Years experience performing laborer functions. Successfully pass client required drug screens
+ Must have a valid driver's license
+ Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
+ Prompt and dependable
+ Occasional travel will be required
+ Highly motivated and capable of working effectively in both independent and team environments
+ Frequent use of hand and power tools to assemble or disassemble structures
+ Frequently position self to perform general construction work such as concrete work, digging and trenching
+ Frequently lift objects such as equipment, power tool and concrete sacks weighing up to 50 pounds and carry up to 50 feet
+ Constantly work in varying outdoor environments including cold, hot and wet
+ Must be able to strictly adhere to Health and Safety protocols to ensure personal and team’s safety
+ Operate gasoline powered equipment.
+ Operate light equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.
+ Pipe fitting and plumbing experience.
+ Knowledge of Construction techniques – road construction, grading, asphalt, and concrete.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.
