GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for assisting CFO, Controller and other fiscal staff in various accounting functions, inclusive or special projects, budgeting and reporting.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is an at-will direct service position within the Home Office. The position is responsible for assisting Turning Point’s fiscal department with ensuring the financial viability of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)

Works closely with Controller and CFO as contract monitor for all agency contracts.
Prepares annual program budget reports.
Assists with the monthly closing.
Assists with preparation of financial statements.
Handles special projects as assigned by the CFO.
Drives on agency business utilizing personal vehicle.
Maintains a clean driving record.
Maintains clean driving record as well as currency of driver’s license and vehicle insurance/registration.
Maintains accuracy and timeliness in completion of all tasks.
Consistently meets standards of performance in all aspects of duties.
Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
Attends all staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured from the Chief Financial Officer.’
Meets the standards set for performance in all aspects of job duties.
Meets the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: $68,000- 74,000 per year
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES
Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from an accredited university or college with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field and two (2) years of accounting experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
