**Job Summary**
**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated **Environmental Engineering Intern** for employment in the S **acramento, CA** office.
_This position is expected to begin May/June 2022. This is expected to be a part-time internship with an estimated duration of 6 months, however there may be flexibility to extend the hours or duration._

**Job Overview:**
The Engineering Intern will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.
_The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:_
+ Assist with field work (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, remediation system operations, site inspections)
+ Assist in preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids
+ Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data
+ Review contractor submittals for adherence to technical specifications on construction projects
+ Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and provincial/federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings
+ Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field
+ Valid U.S. Driver's License
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
+ Must have completed 1 year of study
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous internship experience in related field a plus
+ Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
+ GIS and/or CAD experience

+ Candidates may be asked to submit a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening, drug test, and/or medical surveillance screening at the time of hire.
+ Relocation and sponsorship are not provided for this position.
