Telecommunications Laborer / Climber

QTC is seeking experienced Foreman, Tower Climbers and General Laborers with RF and wireless industry experience. These positions are well suited for motivated, hardworking individuals looking to advance in a specialty construction industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises field crew members / directs work (Foremen)
• Assembles / climbs / hangs rigging equipment on towers
• Perform daily inspections on rigging equipment
• Selects cables, ropes, pulleys, capstans, blocks and slings to fixed overhead structures
• Attaches load with grappling devices, such as slings, loops, wires, ropes and chains to shackles and crane hook and/or load line.
• Participate in on-the-job training with on-site personnel
• Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Exhibit positive, cooperative, courteous behavior with customers, businesses and co-workers
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting machinery and equipment
• Provide technical and consulting support
• Assist with work / employee training as directed by management
• Complete required paperwork (time cards, expense reports, service reports, etc.)
• Maintain OSHA safety standards

• Must be able to climb a 300’ vertical tower
• Ability to work in high elevations

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Standing ninety percent of the day
• Ability to reach and stretch
• Ability to work on job site in remote location for extended periods of time

Licenses

Valid Driver's License - strongly preferred/may be required depending upon the location in which the position is required to work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $38.00 per hour
