Job Summary:
Closes club and greets all club guests and members and assists them entering facility, answering general questions, closing club, and ensures account information is correct and current
Accountabilities:
- Sells retail and other products and services
- Processes member paperwork and other documents
- Greets and farewells each member upon entry and exit in most cases learning member names
- Schedules programs or services in systems for members
- Answers general sales, services, and facility questions raised by guests or members
- Answers and manages all calls and ensures professional and friendly manner
- Updates member/guest database
- Assists Supervisor by reviewing membership status at member check-in and helps member understand membership status
- Adheres to opening/ closing process and checklist
- Conducts locker room checks and other actions to ensure a clean club
- Serves alcohol when required in conformity with state law and internal policy
- Serves food when required in conformity with state law and internal policy
- Ensures facility is kept clean and safe at all times
- Closes a minimum of two weekdays per week
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing
- Participates in regular cleaning and sterilizing of work and office areas as required
- Enforces and reports violations of physical distancing and any other health and safety ordinance, order, law or regulation to manager, safety committee member or Compliance
- Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
- Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months' customer service or concierge experience preferred
- Current CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification (within 60 days of employment, company provided)
- Alcohol/food certification as required (paid for by Cal Fit)
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to transfer between various club locations
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of telephone and in-person customer complaint resolution and de-escalation techniques
