Job Description

Do you like solving puzzles? If you have a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 units of accounting, then you can have an exciting career in auditing!  The CA. Department of Social Services' Office of Audit Services is recruiting for nine (9) Staff Services Management Auditors.  Will consider the Associate Management Auditor classification also.  


We are seeking nine auditors who are passionate about furthering the department’s mission. You will:

  • Conduct independent audits, tasks, or special assignments in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS also known as Yellow Book).
  • Prepare and plan for audit(s), research and gather data, request records, perform tests, as well as develop programs.
  • Prepare and issue audit reports and recommendations for internal department programs and external agencies.
  • Provide oral and written communication to all levels of management, conduct audit fieldwork and/or make onsite visits to agencies to ensure program integrity and regulatory compliance.
