Job Description and Duties

The California State Lottery (Lottery) is looking for a talented Project Management Institute certified Project Manager with a collaborative attitude and passion for determining a path forward to aid in the successful delivery of projects directly supporting our business and strategic goals. The Lottery Project Manager plays a critical role in driving Lottery Projects. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring a project comes to a successful completion by working closely with Lottery Divisions to ensure all project requirements and tasks are met. To meet this function it is critical the Project Manager has a strong business and IT foundation to be able to communicate to both Technical and non-Technical Project Team members.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• PMP Certification
• 2 years of project management experience leading IT projects
• Experience in Agile methodology and SCRUM framework
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent people skills with the ability to build collaborative, high-performing project teams
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Organized and efficient; able to work in a fast-paced, challenging, creative, and delivery-focused environment
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, thrive under pressure, and while remaining professional at all times
• Ability to effectively negotiate and use persuasion when necessary to ensure the success of the team and/or project
