Restaurant Team Member / Line Server

Welcome to the Sacramento 49er Diner!! We are looking for a restaurant team member with preferably 1-year experience. Serving, using a POS, ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a quick-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Follow all mandatory safety food and handling procedures
• Maintain a friendly & positive attitude with guests; attentive to guest needs
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Maintain the 49er Diner dress and cleanliness code
• Complete shift changes in an organized manner
• Strive for 5-star performance at all times
• Ensure sufficient quantity stock to produce menu items
• Bus tables
• Maintains cleanliness of the dish room
• Ensure the dishwasher is operating efficiently and in good condition
• Wash all dishes, pots, and pans and return to the appropriate station
• Mop floors as necessary
• Any major cleaning as assigned
