Staff Services Management Auditor
Become a part of the California State Controller's Office Division of Audits as it assumes responsibility in auditing all funds disbursed by the state, performs independent audits of government agencies that spend those funds, and assures accuracy of local government claims and financial statements.
Your Opportunity:
Under close supervision provided by a Senior Management Auditor, the incumbent will learn and develop appropriate skills and methods related to a variety of engagements such as the examination of organization operations and internal and management controls, the review of organization policies and procedures, appraisals of performance and accomplishments in the execution of agency plans and objectives, and evaluations of effectiveness of operations in terms of the resources available to the agencies audited.

Travel Component:
This position typically requires travel averaging 35% annually and may include overnight travel. The travel percentage may be adjusted based on audit engagement and/or division needs. The incumbent is required to have a valid driver license.

They also serve on the boards of the nation's two largest public pension funds. The Controller is one of eight statewide constitutional officials who are elected every four years in California.
