Become a part of the California State Controller's Office Administration & Disbursements Division as it Produces the warrants (checks) and electronic fund transfers from the State Treasury, annually issuing about 49 million payments including state payroll, retirement rolls, Medi-Cal, personal income tax refunds, and payments to vendors.
Your Opportunity:
Under general direction provided by the Administration and Disbursements, Administration (Admin) Staff Services Manager III, the incumbent will act in a lead capacity and perform activities associated with the development of new and evaluation of existing reimbursable rate methodologies and techniques, process analysis, and preparation of reports to further support the mission of the SCO. In addition, the incumbent will work independently and cooperatively with others to perform complex wide range of research and analytical duties, data analyses, and program evaluation as it relates to SCO’s business operations and statewide decision making.

The Controller also safeguards many types of property until claimed by the rightful owners. The Controller serves on 70 boards and commissions with authority affecting policies ranging from land management, affordable housing, and alternative transportation to crime victim compensation and health and educational facilities. They are a member of numerous financing authorities, fiscal and financial oversight entities including the Franchise Tax Board and Board of Equalization. They also serve on the boards of the nation's two largest public pension funds. The Controller is one of eight statewide constitutional officials who are elected every four years in California.
