Independent Living Service Worker

UCP of Sacramento & Northern California is seeking candidates to fill our position as a CLASP Worker. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of individualized plans of instruction to assist people to live independently in the community or in a less restrictive environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. • One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational experience may include an Associate's Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
• Prefer individuals with knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
• Must be able to use personal vehicle for transporting consumers.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, current and clean California driver's license, and current automobile insurance

We have part-time positions available starting at $18.00 per hour. To be eligible for hire: You MUST have reliable transportation, be able to pass a drug test (including THC), back evaluation (able to lift 50lbs), Physical, background check (DOJ/FBI) and TB test.
