ACRC is seeking a Psychologist at the Sacramento Office location to provide psychological evaluations and related diagnostic activities; consult with vendors, service providers, Regional Center counselors and managers on behavior and mental health issues; consult and counsel with clients and their families to provide guidance and training on individual problems; assist with the design and implementation of cost effective treatment plans and resources; participate on various internal and external committees and groups to provide training, education and public information on related issues; maintain all required records in compliance with laws, regulations and ACRC policy (score protocols, interpret results, dictate reports and related documentation); assist in the development of community resources; and consult with schools and other community service agencies on psychological issues and concerns.
The preferred applicant will have the following qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology with educational focus in Developmental and Behavioral psychology, or additional equivalent clinical experience and training to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills; California license as a psychologist; Two years of responsible post doctorate professional experience including substantial experience in testing and diagnostic evaluation of the developmentally disabled and clinical intervention; knowledge of clinical psychology, mental illness, personality development, administration and interpretation of diagnostic psychological tests, research design, statistics, and measurement theory; ability to plan a psychological testing program, and to train or advise parents on principles and procedures of behavioral changes; excellent communication skills including public speaking; planning and organization skills; and strong analytical and problem solving ability, clinical judgment and interpersonal skills.
