Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and motivated After-School Program Team Leads to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating engaging and enriching programming for students across various elementary schools in Elk Grove.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and execute the approved curriculum, which includes daily ELOP schedules, recreational intramural sports, and Fitness And Nutrition (FAN) programming.
  • Motivate and assist students with assigned tasks such as homework, writing prompts, and other activities, providing guidance, emotional support, and motivation.
  • Demonstrate complete control over assigned groups of students, maintaining an organized and clean classroom and outside environment, and ensuring student safety and behavior under supervision.
  • Work closely with site coordinators, fellow Team Leads, and school leadership to ensure adherence to protocols and procedures, ensuring smooth transitions during activities.
  • Be a role model to students by actively participating and engaging with them throughout activities, promoting positive values and behaviors.
  • Promptly report any incidents to appropriate personnel, taking quick and responsible action when necessary.
  • Adhere to all school rules, policies, and guidelines, attend scheduled Training and Development meetings to continuously enhance your skills.
  • Organize materials and equipment required for activities, ensuring seamless implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a paraeducator certificate or 48+ completed college units
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Previous knowledge of various sports activities.
  • Previous experience in education, coaching, or child development is strongly preferred.
