Crime Analyst - I: $33.51 - $41.85/hour; $5,808.40 - $7,254.00/month; $69,700.80 - $87,048.00/year
Crime Analyst - II: $36.95 - $46.14/hour; $6,404.67 - $7,997.60/month; $76,856.00 - $95,971.20/year
This classification is scheduled to receive a general wage increase of 4% in July 2024.
Placer County is currently accepting applications for Crime Analyst - I and Crime Analyst - II. Each level in this job series has different minimum qualifications. To participate in the recruitment at the I level, the II level, or both levels, you must complete and submit separate applications and supplemental questionnaires for each recruitment.
The Placer County Sheriff's Office and the Placer County District Attorney's office each have one vacancy for Crime Analyst - I/II to support investigations.
The ideal candidates will be experts at collecting, analyzing, and communicating data and be detailed oriented. This position will work closely with all levels of staff within the organization and handle competing priorities on a daily basis. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to think quickly to make determinations to support public safety efforts.
