Conducts performance and quality reviews/audits to promote completeness and accuracy, and/or to ensure customer receives quality service and appropriate follow-through communication. Evaluates the quality of work and records findings. Provides feedback to leadership and shares observations, data or trends with the team and/or leadership, and makes recommendations for improvement. Escalates unusual or complex issues that may require additional research or support.
HS Diploma HS diploma or equivalent Required
Associate's Preferred Or equivalent education/experience
One year experience in a technical data processing role required (medical field preferred)
One year previous employment in healthcare role and/or experience conducting quality audits preferred
Preferred operational experience with Sutter Health
Experience in a contact center environment preferred.
**Skills and Knowledge**
General knowledge of one or more of the following areas preferred:
A. Medical billing and claims processing
B. Medical terminology and coding
C. Various medical insurance types
D. Healthcare operations
E. Electronic health record Systems, preferably EPIC
Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal & written) and work effectively with others
Strong time management and organizational skills
Demonstrates ability to analyze data
Demonstrates ability to follow-through on issues
Understand basic medical insurance terminology including CPT and ICD-10 codes
Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint or similar programs.
Able to perform basic math calculations
Demonstrates ability to read diagrams and standard workflows/processes
