GENERAL SUMMARY:  This position works with senior program participants, volunteers, staff and community partners to help implement services to older adults in the community as part of ACC’s Home and Community-Based Programs (HCBP). The HCBP offer programs and services that promote health, wellness, and independence for older adults and their caregivers. We provide seniors with a point of contact for information and referrals as well as coordination with needed services throughout the region.

The Home & Community-Based Program Coordinator spends 30% of their time managing the ACC Community Center’s Front Desk and Welcome Center. The Program Coordinator position is an hourly (non-exempt) level position and reports to the HCBP Administrator and Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates Program daily operations including administrative support, recruitment, training and scheduling of participants and volunteers, and providing direct services as needed.
  • Helps to maintain program forms, data input, and data collection.
  • Networks with community partners for shared programming, resources, and referrals.
  • Represents ACC and ACC Programs during special events, community fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Assists with media production including print, social media, livestreaming, recordings.
  • Works with Front Desk staff, volunteers, interns to maintain lobby and Welcome Center areas; manages incoming phone calls and community center walk-ins; provides excellent customer service; supports program needs and special projects.
  • Receives Resource Specialist training and certification to provide enhanced information and referral services in person and over the phone.
  • Uses program databases; maintains and updates participant and volunteer information in order to create accurate reports.
  • Assists with grants and donor solicitations to provide program funds and in-kind donations.
  • Maintains a strong understanding of ACC HR, Accounting, Fund Development, and Programs services, functions, and staffing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in social work, public health, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience working with older adults; organizing programs highly desired.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, data entry, social media, Google Meets/Zoom.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work occasionally on weekends or evenings as needed.
  • Available to travel periodically. Must have reliable transportation.
