This is an exciting time to join SMUD as key member of the Power Generation Engineering Department.  SMUD is seeking a knowledgeable Associate (Journey) Mechanical Engineer experienced in power generation, with strong project management skills.  As an Associate (Journey) Mechanical Engineer, you will support both capital and mechanical maintenance projects for SMUD’s generating assets which include hydroelectric, thermal, wind, photovoltaic, and a natural gas pipeline, and assist in implementing the gas pipeline Integrity Management program.  The ideal candidate will have experience with hydroelectric facilities and/or gas pipeline inspection and Integrity Management, be a good communicator who assist in the execution of projects in the field and is able to help support testing and commissioning.  Desirable knowledge of SAP work management, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project.
