$26.69 - $33.31/hour; $4,626.27 - $5,773.73/month; $55,515.20 - $69,284.80/year

Parks & Grounds Worker - Senior

$29.42 - $36.74/hour; $5,099.47 - $6,368.27/month; $61,193.60 - $76,419.20/year

The Department of Agriculture, Parks, and Natural Resources is currently seeking a Parks & Grounds Worker and a Senior Parks & Grounds Worker. Each level has different minimum qualifications

Parks & Grounds Worker

  • Experience:  Two years of responsible experience performing duties similar to those of a Maintenance Worker assigned to the Parks and Grounds Division or to another County division in Placer County.
  • Training:  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

Required License or Certificate:

  • Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate from California Department of Pesticide Regulation is desired.
  • Possession of a valid Class A or B driver's license with air brakes and tanker endorsements may be required depending upon the position.  Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.

Parks & Grounds Worker - Senior

  • Experience: Two years of responsible parks and grounds experience performing duties similar to a Parks and Grounds Worker with Placer County.
  • Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.

Required License or Certificate:

  • Possession of a Qualified Applicator Certificate from California Department of Food and Agriculture is desired.
  • Possession of a valid Class A or B driver's license may be required depending upon the position.  Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
