Under general direction, the Emergency Medical Services Administrator directs, manages, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Sacramento County Emergency Medical Services Agency.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university in Public Health Administration, Public Administration, Nursing, Health Science, Life Science, Physical Science or other field closely related to the intent of the class;
Two years of full-time paid experience assisting with the development, coordination, and supervision of a state or local Emergency Medical Services program;
One year of full-time paid experience as an EMT, Paramedic, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse, Army Medic, or Navy Corps-person.
Note: Additional full-time paid experience assisting with the development, coordination, and supervision of a state or local governmental Emergency Medical Services program may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis. (2080 hours = 30 units)
Note: Current licensure as an EMT, Paramedic, or Registered Nurse is desirable.
