The Position
Under direction, the Senior Construction Inspector inspects the construction of public works projects, including roads, bridges, drainage structures, site improvements, waste water control systems and treatment plants, water supply and distribution systems, street lighting, and traffic signal facilities required for parks, public building, residential and commercial development to ensure compliance with applicable laws, ordinances, standards, plans, and specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Either: 1. Two years in the class of Construction Inspector in Sacramento County service.
Or: 2. Three years experience in general highway, street, or waste water control and drainage construction as an inspector in these areas or serving in a higher capacity such as a contractor's foreman or superintendent.
Note: If the word "experience" is referenced in the minimum qualifications, it means full-time paid experience unless the minimum qualification states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part-time paid experience may be accumulated and pro-rated to meet the total experience requirements.
