Vice President (VP) Finance and Treasurer, Sutter Health System Office (SHSO)
**Description** **POSITION SUMMARY:** The VP Finance and Treasurer is responsible for the management of the treasury function for Sutter Health and affiliates. Treasury responsibilities include banking operations and cash management; merchant services program management; debt financing; balance sheet management and capital planning; participation in investment management; actuarial management for Sutter Health Retirement Plan (SHRP); Treasury and investment record keeping and analysis; and Treasury department management. The position provides technical support to a variety of entities within the system relating to accounting, pension plans, banking relationships and other financial issues. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:** **Education:** Bachelors with a major in Finance, Economics or Accounting is required. CFA, CCM, MBA, CPA or similar advanced degree is desirable. **Experience:** Management and supervisory experience; broad experience in: multi entity not-for-profit organizations, dealing with regulated entities (particularly healthcare and/or insurers), managing banking operations including merchant services, multi-entity cash management, capital and cash flow forecasting and planning in a complex environment, evaluating and accessing capital markets, tax-exempt debt financing, management of pension assets, oversight of defined contribution plans. Fixed income investing and oversight and evaluation of professional asset managers. **Knowledge:** Knowledge of cash management techniques, fixed income investment products, financial markets, corporate banking and investment accounting. Knowledge of taxable or tax-exempt financing, GAAP and healthcare industry. **Special Skills/Equipment:** Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Good PC skills and relevant applications experience are required. Investment analysis and debt financing skills are essential. Good organizational skills are required to balance multiple projects, assignments and responsibilities simultaneously.
