Under the direction of a licensed nurse or therapist, participates in the client's care and experience through teamwork, effective communication and basic care skills.

Growth: Follows client plan of care during the duration of client's enrollment in the program in order to achieveoptimal care and quality of daily living.

**MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**
Current California certification as a Certified Home Health Aide. Must be CPR certified on hire. For Sutter Senior Care position, must acquire first aid and CPR Certification within six months of hire and maintain current certification thereafter. Must possess a current driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of liability insurance.
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Medical terminology, healthcare practices and universal precautions.
One year experience working with the elderly is required. One or more years of experience as a Home Health Aide, preferable caring for the elderly is preferred.

Requires the ability to prioritize duties and have good time management skills. Must have effective English, written and verbal communications skills. Bilingual skills preferred. Sincere interest in working with frail elderly participants is a must. Ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team and make meaningful contributions to the development of the plan of care.
