The Chief Protective Services Officer is the leader of the system wide physical security function for Sutter Health. Primary responsibilities include physical security strategy, physical security architecture, and global function oversight. Principal accountabilities include the development and management of security standards, the development of security policies, protocols and guidelines, and the implementation monitoring systems necessary to ensure organizational policy and standards compliance. Other accountabilities include regulatory compliance, ongoing risk assessments, investigations and the implementation of corrective actions as necessary. The Chief Protective Services Officer reports to the Sutter Health SVP and Chief People and Culture Officer but has unique requirements for collaboration with and reporting to Internal Audit, Information Systems, Risk Management and the Office of the General Counsel.
A Bachelors Degree is required.
Masters Degree is preferred.
15 + years of experience leading corporate physical security preferred.
Large healthcare system experience preferred.
Mastery of physical security strategy and architecture, Knowledge of security technologies and policies, including CCURE systems.
Capable of working in a matrixed environment with ability to communicate and collaborate up, down and across organizational structures and achieve positive outcomes.
Regular travel to Sutter Health locations throughout Northern California, including travel to bay area 1-2 times weekly as necessary.
