Clinical Dietitian - Food and Nutrition Services (Limited-term, Full-time, Days / Evenings)
The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary team to provide medical nutrition therapy to participants that is integrated and compatible with the patient's medical program goals and objectives.Primary responsibilities include providing functional oversight to the Nutrition Coordinators at each site, serving as liaison between food service staff and participants, implementing medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in a cost effective manner; and participating in performance improvement efforts.
This is a limited-term position with an anticipated duration of approximately 16 weeks.
**Education / Licensure /Certification / Registration:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition / Dietetics / Related Field required, Master’s preferred.
+ Registered dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
+ Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) obtained through the American Heart Association required.
+ Experience with Elder community required.
+ Experience in Long term care preferred
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:**
+ Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
+ Ability to function independently.
+ Ability to effectively counsel and educate others.
+ General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
