Position has responsibility for the supervision of Epic and/or other software application analysts supporting the needs of independent community physician programs using the Sutter EHR. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert for their specific application team, including the development, mentoring, monitoring and evaluating of team members. This position has expertise in product functionality, best practice workflows, product enhancement requests/analysis, and software upgrade impacts for their specific area of expertise, including but not limited to, Epic and other related software modules/interfaces. Position oversees business/operational impact analysis of proposed software changes, development of related educational materials, training programs, communications and customer support as appropriate.
One of the following is required:
4 years equivalent combination of education and experience in one or more of the following:
-hardware/software application installation
-hardware/software application support
-hospital/medical clinic operations
-customer service, especially in the healthcare field
Clinical certification plus 2 years of clinic and client-focused experience
4 year degree in Health Care Administration, Information Management, Computer Science (in the Application area) or other related healthcare field
RN or LVN plus 2 years of clinic and client-focused experience preferred.
EPIC Certification - EPIC Preferred
Prior experience in one or more of the following is required:
2 years supervising a team or program required.
3 years related software implementation or practice management experience required.
Experience supporting the implementation of complex clinical projects that require coordination of resources required.
3 years experience in provider contracting and/or claims processing required.
Prior experience in managed care and/or billing and accounts receivable required.
Certification, or proficiency, in Epic EHR applications appropriate for specific area of expertise required.
Ambulatory or other health care application experience required.
Experience analyzing clinical workflows and practice operations required.
Experience with the operational aspects of the healthcare industry, including documentation standardization required.

Ability to work within and promote team environment concepts, including LEAN workflow process improvement sessions
Knowledge of MS Project, MS Visio, or MS Access preferred
Skills in interviewing and analysis
