Outpatient Heart Speciality Support Representative (Full-TIme, Day Shift)
Provides support to Transplant Coordinator by arranging all aspects of evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care of both inpatients and outpatients. Facilitates smooth and efficient department operations and communications; and prepares and maintains the clinical environment for safe and efficient clinical services. Will be assigned an area of specialty and be cross-trained to perform the duties of all counterparts.
Previous experience in a medical facility or as medical assistant is preferred.
High school diploma (or equivalent education/experience) is required.
**Licensures and Certifications:**
Basic Life Support Certification - BLS is required.
**Skills and Knowledge:**
Must possess basic knowledge of medical diagnostic procedures and preparations as well as scheduling.
Must have knowledge of what a multi-disciplinary team is and be able to function as an effective team member.
Must have working knowledge of Xerox, word processing, laser printing, and FAX equipment.
Under the direction of an RN, prioritizes and manages multiple demands in an ever changing environment.
Written and verbal English communication skills, customer service skills, math skills, basic computer skills are required.
Requires the demonstrated ability to accurately receive and relay information over the telephone and in person; act calmly and decisively in emergency situations and exercise sound judgment.
**Department Specific Requirements:**
Travel is required on a rare occasion.
On-call/standby is required on a rare occasion.
PM or weekend shifts are required on a rare occasion.
