The Business Systems Analyst III on the EDI Support Team is responsible for working directly with business unit personnel in defining and establishing business and end user requirements for existing and new business application systems. This position will lead, implement, document and support integrated solutions for application related technical and business issues. This position will develop good working relationships with end user organizations and will function as the end users' representative on technology issues.
This position will be familiar with the needs of an EDI customer base operation and be able to analyze the life cycle of all the units' basic processes to assist in ongoing review of quality assurance and cost effectiveness to the organization.
+ Associates or Bachelor’s degree desired or equivalent relevant education andexperience (high school diploma/GED AND 3+ years of experience in IT andHealthcare Information Systems with specialized coursework in computer science,management information systems or healthcare) required
+ Epic certification required
+ Experience in healthcareapplications as typically acquired in 6 to 8 years
+ Effective analytical, problem andissue resolution experience is required.
+ Experiencein EDI Translation tools; Routes, Maps, Standards, Guidelines, Trading PartnerManagement, preferably Edifecs.
+ Advanced knowledge of wordprocessing, spreadsheet and presentation computer programs, preferably Microsoft
+ Software implementation experienceusing diversified product lines of information systems is required
+ Demonstrated knowledge of industrystandards to support business requirements is required. Specifically, knowledge of ANSI x12 HIPAA Compliant file formats.
+ Demonstratedknowledge of health care operations and structure, general requirements in anintegrated delivery system, and use of information system applications in thepracticing health care environment is required
+ Demonstratedknowledge of application environments including production, test and interfacesis required
+ Demonstratedknowledge of multiple and integrated systems
+ Demonstrated understanding of clinicaloperations, and/or practice management and/or physician revenue cycle, and/orfinancial software along with understanding the technical environment ofproduct lines for which they are responsible
+ Abilityto multi-task
+ Goodorganization skills; ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectivesin a rapidly changing environment, and deliver quality service
