United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** AECOM’s Sacramento, California office is looking for a hydrogeologist to add to the team. The right candidate will work as part of the team performing investigations on large, complex sites and will participate in strategy and planning to conduct/complete groundwater investigation and remediation projects. We are looking for a hydrogeologist with 3+ years of professional experience, preferably with a Master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field. At AECOM, you will analyze soil and groundwater issues and develop solutions to technical problems for hazardous waste investigations. You will complete these tasks by applying broad knowledge of hydrogeology gained from academic training and professional experience. We will expect you to tailor your technical approach, process and methods to fit complex client needs. You will need to evaluate and exchange technical and non-technical information with internal colleagues, project managers, and client counterparts to support technical excellence. The work will require effective contributions in team situations with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within AECOM. This position requires the ability to solve technical problems related to contaminant migration and hydrogeology of moderate scope and complexity. Demonstrated experience designing, performing, and evaluating data for aquifer pump tests is required, and additional experience modeling groundwater flow regimes and contaminant migration using MODFLOW and MT3D is preferred. Though primarily office-based, some fieldwork, well installation, and aquifer testing may be required. During the work day, you will need to discover, critically review, and evaluate new information in the context of the project objectives and regulatory environment, look at issues from both a broad and detailed perspective, and locate errors and logical inconsistencies. You will be asked to contribute to the development of larger project documents by evaluating data and preparing written discussions of methods, data, and conclusions. On occasion you may be challenged to develop and deliver presentations for colleagues, clients, and regulators. **Minimum Requirements** BA/BS in Geology , hydrogeology, or a related field with 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **Preferred Qualifications** Master’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
