Job Description

**Position Overview:** This position has responsibility to strategically develop, design, implement and evaluate Sutter Health's telehealth virtual care initiatives. Collaborate with physicians and operational leaders to identify and execute solutions that will improve access while reducing cost and enhancing patient experience. Leads creation of standard work to create scalable and sustainable suite of virtual care programs that will allow Sutter Health to attract and retain patients in the network while continuing to be a leading healthcare service provider in the region. This individual will report directly to Director, Digital Patient Experience and serve as a liaison with internal leaders and external partners to successfully implement strategies and meet business and financial targets. **Qualifications:** **Education** BA in Business Administration, Computer Science, Health Administration, IT or related field required. MBA, MHA, MCS, MSIS or MIT or related field desired. **Experience** Extensive experience assisting in the tactical implementation of strategic telehealth initiatives in a complex matrixed organization in order to deliver operational excellence, as typically acquired during 5-7 years in a similar position Significant experience executing multiple concurrent high impact initiatives with aggressive timeframes Prior experience in healthcare operations working with project management processes and methodologies Significant experience implementing multi-departmental or enterprise solutions and the proven ability to coordinate large-scale, complex change initiatives Proven experience working across all levels of a large organization and delivering high quality work product in a timely manner Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, privacy and security to safeguard information in digital healthcare Solid experience leading Telehealth and Telemedicine programs and initiatives **Knowledge** Strong understanding of person-centered design thinking and pilot development Thorough knowledge of industry forces, best practices, reimbursement strategies, and future applications for Telehealth Extensive working knowledge of healthcare and hospital operations, risk management and organizational development needed to create and implement digital transformation strategies across a large, multi-specialty care delivery system General understanding of the complexity of the current US healthcare environment with a strong vision for digital technology’s role in its future transformation Thorough knowledge of regulatory agency standards, compliance issues, and laws applicable to health care operations Understanding of key technologies, clinical and business trends for Telehealth and Digital Health **Skills** Proven ability to understand the nuances and strategic applications of Telehealth in various settings inclusive but not limited to acute and ambulatory services, and the impact of digital patient experience to enhance Sutter’s current geographic footprint Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to influence staff and physicians Proven ability to develop, motivate, and retain a strong team by demonstrating and setting high standards of behavior and performance Strong leadership ability to forge strong executive relationships, collaborate with diverse peers, and manage the details on the ground Demonstrated capability of analyzing and applying market data to guide strategy development Strong change management skills to ensure organizational support of Digital Health initiatives Advanced level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio **Organization:** Sutter Health System Office **Employee Status:** Regular **Benefits:** Yes **Position Status:** Exempt **Union:** No **Job Shift:** Day **Shift Hours:** 8 Hour Shift **Days of the Week Scheduled:** Monday-Friday **Weekend Requirements:** None **Schedule:** Full Time **Hrs Per 2wk Pay Period:** 80 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, registered domestic partner status, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, ancestry, national origin (including possession of a driver's license issued to individuals who did not present proof of authorized presence in the U.S.), age, medical condition, physical or mental disability, military or protected veteran status, political affiliation, pregnancy or perceived pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding or related medical condition, genetic information or any other characteristic made unlawful by local, state, or federal law, ordinance or regulation.
