**Psychiatric Response Team Supervisor** provides and coordinates care of identified patients with mental health needs at Sutter General Hospital, Sutter Memorial Hospital and Sutter Center for Psychiatry.This is accomplished through assessment, treatment planning, and managing the disposition of these patients.Collaboration with the other members of the Psychiatric Response Team as well as medical center staff is essential.Active interchange with SutterCenter for Psychiatry Central Intake to coordinate appropriate transfer of patients to SCP is essential.Working with the Psychiatric Response Team Social Worker to develop relationships with mental health facilities/organizations within and outside the community to provide appropriate disposition of patients is critical.Provides direct supervision of staff assigned to the Psychiatric Response Team.The Psychiatric Response Team Supervisor will have involvement with the Sutter acute hospitals in the SacSierra Region, depending on need.
**MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS**
+ Current CA RN, LCSW, or Psychologist licensure is required.
+ BLS required.
· Administrative or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting or service is required.
· Clinical experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
· At least 2 years of acute psychiatric care is required.
· Demonstrates experience utilizing effective interpersonal communications, supervisorial, organizational, and priority setting skills.
· Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, and support implementation of a patient focused program in a healthcare setting.
+ The incumbent must be well versed in the administrative and clinical areas, supervised with special emphasis on hospital and/or other healthcare settings and standards of patient care.
+ Qualifications include proven successful experience with physician relations, supervision, personnel management, non-clinical and operating budget preparation, project planning, and management within a complex environment.
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills, along with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements, including The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Title 22 specifications.
+ The incumbent must be well versed in hospital/healthcare settings and medical staff organization and structure; must be fluent in medical terminology to include diagnostic and operative procedures.
+ Current knowledge of State, Federal, and Profession Industry Standards pertaining to healthcare practice is desired.Knowledge of adult education principles is required.
+ Conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills in a complex environment are required.
+ Tact, diplomacy, and ability to work with individuals in all levels of hospital and medical staff organization.
+ Ability to work with confidential information.
+ Excellent presentation skills are required.
+ Leadership and team skills that enable working cooperatively.
+ Work environment includes frequent interruptions.
+ Must be available to flex hours in accordance with department needs, including, but not limited to other shifts.
+ Must be able to attend meetings at any Sutter Health entity and/or off-site location.
