The Clinician Template Specialist supports approximately 900 Clinicians within Sutter Medical Foundation and is responsible for:
+ Managing new clinician scheduling template builds.
+ Day to day management of daily and permanent edits to a clinician's EPIC template.
+ Responsible for Visit Type Management including, durations, instructions, and restrictions which frequently involves making changes in a live environment in the Cadence template build application within EPIC.
+ Responsible for any changes requested that require other builds by the IS teams.
+ Consults with Care Center Leads, Clinicians, and Supervisors and advises on template design, changes, and arrange timelines for implementation of new templates.
+ Ensures appropriate decisions are being made when template changes are requested to align with template standards.
+ Processes change requests received by paper, e-mail, fax, phone, or voice-mail within expected turnaround times.
+ Manages, coordinates and communicates clinician/physician time-off requests and unscheduled absences that will impact patient care.
+ Manage and communicate clinicians' short-notice cancellations to appropriate staff.
+ Responsible for the daily tracking and reporting of template related data.
+ Requires some travel to meet with new clinicians (approx. 2 x's per month)
+ High School Diploma required.
+ Associate's degree or some IT college course work preferred.
+ Related experience equivalent to 2-4 years preferably in a medical setting with experience with EPIC or scheduling application required.
+ Previous experience with Cadence Template builds.
+ Previous experience with processing change requests and incidents with IT Service Management systems.

+ Computer skills, basic mathematics, spelling and English writing skills
+ Professional business image according to policy.
+ Telephone etiquette and positive customer relations skills.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with medical foundation personnel, medical group physician leaders as well as other entities that support Epic Template functions.
+ Good telecommunication skills and the ability to handle multiple demands in a calm and efficient manner are essential.
+ Ability to be self-directed in work habits and prioritization.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to process template changes in a timely manner with little to no errors.
