AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Construction Inspector for employment in the Sacramento, CA office. Project worksite location will be in Moccasin, CA
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Perform Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) inspection for civil/structural/geotechnical, mechanical, and/or electrical work.
+ Provide inspection services to assure compliance with the quality and functional requirements of the specifications including, but not limited to, general, warranty, and special inspections.
+ Conduct periodic surveillance and inspection of the work, monitor the Contractor’s quality processes, and coordinate field sampling and testing for verification of quality results as needed.
+ Prepare daily inspection reports and other quality records, including deficiency and non‐conformance notices (NCNs).
+ Assist the project’s Resident Engineer (RE) in planning for and coordinating all QA inspection activities, compiling all daily inspection records, reviewing field construction‐related submittals, inspecting all material and equipment arriving on site, monitoring resolution of all quality issues, and leading the Substantial Completion and Final Completion inspections
+ 5+ years of experience in construction inspection of utility infrastructure construction projects, of which two (2) years are in construction inspection of public works facilities
+ Cal OSHA 10‐hour training certification for industrial construction (confined spaces, lockout/tagout (LOTO), etc.);
+ Ability to report daily to Moccasin, CA
+ Ability to work night shifts
