Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. The QA Tech has an array of responsibilities that are vital to everyday operations. 

Primary responsibilities include:

• Maintain Quality Control records
• Calibrate and maintain quality equipment
• Inspect incoming and outgoing product to ensure it meets appropriate quality specifications
• Identify, Track, and Contain product (raw and finished) that does not meet quality specifications
• Develop, implement, and train Quality Control policies and procedures for both the tempering and coating departments
• Making crucial quality decisions, especially when running Q products
• Inspect, document, and compare defect samples to reject and credit reports

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Assist with Inventory Control
• Assist production based on business needs
• Travel as required for training, quality meetings, and customer related concerns

Requirements

• Self-Motivated – able to work productively with limited supervision
• Excellent Attendance/Safety record
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to become Industrial Powered Vehicle/Crane certified
• Fast learner with attention to detail
• Shift flexibility – willing to work any shift at any time
• Advanced Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Must possess excellent problem-solving skills
• High sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills
