Responsible for providing coordination and oversight of patient care in collaboration with the neurology, neurointensivist and/or neurosurgery physician partner(s). Facilitates and monitors all aspects of patient care throughout the acute care episode, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical staff in some affiliates to ensure best process/outcomes per core measures, Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) stroke and CMS requirements. Provides consultation to staff, participates in patient rounds and case conferences, and provides education to clinical team members as indicated.

+ Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - ACNP, upon hire
+ Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License - NPF
+ ENLS completed within 90 days of employment
+ CITI Training completed within 90 days of employment
**Other license desired:**
+ General Nursing Practice - CN-RN is preferred.
**Minimum Experience Required:**
+ 3 years acute care experience within the past 5 years
+ 2 years critical care nursing experience
**Preferred Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Evidence-based practice, research and professional practice standards.
+ Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills required.
+ Ability to create positive team and professional alliances with individuals and groups.
