**Position Overview:** **Job Summary:** The CNS will provide clinical expertise, leadership, consultation/collaboration, expert guidance and coaching, education, research, and ethical decision making in a specialty service area to assure nursing care that consistently follows evidence-based principles, professional standards, and regulatory requirements to promote optimal patient care delivery. The model of CNS practice is based on three spheres of influence, as described by The National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, which include the patient/client, nurses and nursing practice, and organizations and systems. The patient sphere is paramount, and remains the focus throughout activities in all other spheres that incorporate the essential role functions of clinical practice, professional and clinical. **Qualifications:** **Education, Licensures, andCertifications:** + Master's Degree in Nursing, with a specialty in a clinical area. Required + Registered Nurse - State Licensure - RN Required Upon Hire + Clinical Nurse Specialist - CNS Required Upon Hire **Experience:** + Minimum of 3-5 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting. Required + 3-5 years’ experience in developing educational programs related to health promotion and maintenance/disease prevention and possesses knowledge of adult education/teaching principles.
