Information Technology Analyst (Level I/II)

DESCRIPTION
Under supervision, incumbents perform a variety of professional, technical and analytical duties in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems and networks. The duties include work in the areas of user and systems requirements and analysis, applications development and maintenance, computer systems support, network design and maintenance, and data/database analysis/administration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Either: 1A. A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or a closely related field.
AND
1B. One year experience in the option tested, in the field of systems engineering, programming, database administration and/or analysis, operating systems, network analysis and/or management or a similar field in a multi-platform information systems environment.
Or: 2. One year experience in the class of Information Technology Analyst Trainee.
Or: 3. One year experience in a position performing the equivalent full-time duties of an Information Technology Analyst Trainee. See notes B and C.*
Or: 4A. Completion of a certificate program in computer science in the option tested. The certificate must be an approved computer science certification, maintained on the list by the Sacramento County Office of Communication and Information Technology. See note D.*
AND
4B. Three years experience in the field of the option test.
