**Position Overview:** The Philanthropy Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining their assigned portion of the Sutter Health general ledger in order to facilitate preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position will prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare monthly financial statement variance analysis. This position will assist in compiling the Sutter Health Support Services operating budgets, assist department management with special projects and participate in departmental policy and procedure development for improved efficiency and accuracy. **Qualifications:** **Education** : Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required. **Experience/Knowledge/Skills:** 1-3 years of progressive experience in general accounting, including general ledger subsystems such as payroll, accounts payable, fixed asset and purchasing. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is also required.
