AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Planner for immediate employment in Sacramento, CA in our Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) Practice. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The IAP team focuses on environmental policy, impact analysis (CEQA and NEPA), and assisting clients with regional and project-specific planning, permitting and compliance services.
This self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills is desired to implement a strategic approach to addressing the needs of our clients. The successful candidate will interact with other AECOM offices to craft and lead efforts in the areas of strategic planning, policy development and environmental compliance services.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
+ Assist on or lead a variety of environmental studies for a broad range of projects in including parks and open space, power, water, transportation, and development-related projects in Northern California.
+ Analyze and write environmental impacts from project activities to complete environmental documents
+ Support senior management with business development and responding to proposals
+ Manage small or medium-sized projects and serve as a deputy project manager or task lead on larger, more complex projects
+ Oversee the work of others and mentor others
BA/BS in Environmental Planning, Science or related field with 6 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 8 years of relevant experience.
Must have valid U.S. Driver's license
Previous experience working on environmental policy, impact analysis (CEQA and NEPA) related to open space / parks.
