AECOM's Sacramento office is seeking an environmental planner to help prepare technical sections and coordinate environmental documents to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act and/or the National Environmental Policy Act (CEQA/NEPA), as well as other documents, for a wide variety of projects, including water, energy, infrastructure, and natural resources, as well as urban, infill, and mixed-use development projects and greenfield projects in northern California.
Specific CEQA and/or NEPA experience working with and knowledge of water supply and/or flood management systems, energy projects, and/or natural resources projects in central and northern California is desired. We are interested in a motivated individual that is capable of delivering high-quality analysis and reporting, but is also interested in gaining experience with our environmental planning projects and advancing their career at AECOM.
The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills – both written and verbal – and will have strong analytical skills needed to work with our project managers and project directors to dissect and address our clients’ challenges, as well as propose innovative solutions.
Depending on the background and interests of the successful candidate, there are also opportunities related to climate change adaptation planning, sea level rise and other vulnerability assessments, community planning and policy development, and climate mitigation planning.
BA / BS in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering or or related field with 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Prior experience working on CEQA related projects.
