AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Civil Engineer based in our Sacramento, CA office to provide civil engineering and design services for large water infrastructure projects. This position will involve working with a multidisciplinary team of civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers, geologists and environmental scientists, under the supervision and responsible charge of a Registered Professional Engineer, to plan, design, and construct large water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Manage cost and schedule for assigned projects
+ Manage and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and with quality
+ Clearly communicate with staff and with clients
+ Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
+ Work under supervision of a project manager or senior level team member
+ Demonstrated ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues
+ Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality
+ Prepare technical & commercial bid documents
+ Work with designers and drafting staff to develop conceptual and as-built drawings
+ BA/BS degree plus 2 years of relevant experience OR AA/AS degree plus 4 years of relevant experience
+ Local Central Valley project experience with Municipal and/or Industrial clients
+ Engineer in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree
+ 2+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Experience in the planning, design, and construction of water resources projects including pump stations, dams, levees, flood control facilities, pipelines, cutoff walls, and earthmoving projects.
+ Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D
