United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** The AECOM Water Business Line has an immediate need for a **Geophysicist** to join our team in Sacramento, California. As a Geophysicist, you will support geophysical data collection and modeling in the execution of critical water resources projects. Your role will be to provide technical expertise in geophysics to project teams and to maintain AECOM technical standards. This position will provide clients with leading technical capabilities applying geophysical techniques to solve complex geologic/hydrogeologic problems. AECOM seeks highly-motivated individuals with communication skills and the ability to work in teams and independently. Additional duties related to this position include: + Prepare geophysical models to plan, evaluate, and analyze data collected from field surveys. + Manage and monitor the quality of geophysical data acquisition under the direction of project geophysicists from geophysical systems including advanced electromagnetic induction (EMI) instruments. + Assist, observe and monitor data collection in the field to verify compliance with planned surveys and recommend modifications based on progress findings. + Relate geophysical data to geologic/hydrogeologic material properties to aid in conceptual site model development and informing engineering design. + Programming, data evaluation/visualization, and technical writing. + Provide geophysical technical evaluations and recommendations for project managers and clients to inform project decisions. **Minimum Requirements** Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or Geophysics + MS/Ph.D. in Geophysics. + Familiarity with geophysical modeling and visualization software. + Familiarity with geophysical modeling related to groundwater and hydrogeologic studies. + Familiarity with working with large, multi-dimensional data sets. + Clear and effective communication skills, simplifying complex concepts for a range of audiences and stakeholders. **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
