The leader of the Communication Services organization works collaboratively as a peer with other leaders of core services of the infrastructure reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. The role is responsible for all aspects of the communication infrastructure. Preferred location is San Mateo, Rancho Cordova, CA or St Petersburg, Florida. This strategic leader will be responsible for effectively understanding business needs, dynamically work with the business, technology peers, external partners and communication staff members to set direction and lead the organization to sustain and grow this critical element of Franklin Templeton’s communication/computing infrastructure. It is an exciting opportunity for an individual with the right balance of both technical and business competencies. The environment is fast paced, fun and very dynamic; rapidly changing to meet the growing needs of products and services across the Investment Management industry. The aspects include but are not limited to, research and development, architecture, engineering, build/implementation management and ongoing operational support. The team follows a plan, build and run support methodology to scale, sustain and expand the communication services of the company. The team is responsible for all aspects of the global communications infrastructure (which include: Network & Data Services, Voice Services, and Communication & Conferencing Services). Under these core services, there are over 8 sub-services that global business users depend on each day to operate the business. The leader of this unit is responsible for the ongoing operation and management of these services and sub-services; keeping current and aligned to business needs through clear journey maps, progressive iteration and innovation of the latest advancements in communication technologies. Global team geographically dispersed. Skills range from Architects, Engineers, Project and Operational Support Resources. The new leader will have the opportunity to re-evaluate the existing structure and make adjustments to the structure as needed moving forward to progress and mature the services of this dynamic organization. Leader will have 5 to 7 direct reports and will manage a global team of 50 skilled communications professionals.
