United States of America - California, Sacramento **Job Summary** AECOM's Sacramento, CA office is seeking a part-time on call Archaeological Technician. Candidates will conduct archaeological surveys and site delineation, excavate and document test pits and/or units within survey areas and archaeological sites of the project as directed by the Field/Lab Director and Principal Investigators. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to wash or otherwise clean, sort, catalog, analyze, and prepare for permanent curation all recovered artifacts as directed by the Field/Lab Director and Principal Investigators. Keep legible and understandable field notes and documentation. Create electronic spreadsheets, inventories, and provide data entry. This role will require travel as needed for project duties, good interpersonal skills, writing skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are fundamental. **Minimum Requirements** GED Must have Valid U.S. Driver's License **Preferred Qualifications** Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or related field. 3+ years relevant project experience preferred with appropriate recommendations. The ability and desire to perform extensive fieldwork on potentially difficult terrain and during adverse weather conditions on field assignments ranging from several days, weeks, or months at a time will be essential.
