Be a part of local 185 Union
Lead with an application of safety principles, processes and conduct safety meetings.
Review and study all drawings for production of designated projects
Preplan form set-up and form changes
Forecast of production and manpower
Oversee inventory of job materials (rebar, form parts, embeds, and inserts)
Daily inspections of all forms pre-engineering inspection: check for square, overall dimensions, dimensions of reveals, block out, and patterns. Check rebar detail, rebar clearance, insert and embed dimensions, silicone appearance, and deck appearance.
Ensure compliance when it comes to policies and procedures of Clark Pacific
Oversee training activities, employee communications and initial response to staff issues or conflicts
Coordinate work with other departments as needed
Provide recommendation for process improvements
Kind and length of experience:
5 plus years within a concrete, construction, rebar and/or manufacturing or other related fields
3 plus years in leadership role
Experience in Union environment a plus
Ability to read blueprints, tape measure and set up concrete forms
Thorough understanding of Safety Procedures
Ability to communicate with team members and Management
Physical Requirements (i.e., extended periods of sitting, bending, stooping, standing, walking or driving; frequency of lifting or carrying heavy objects - note required weight; required communication skills - verbal/auditory):
Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl throughout shift and/or long periods of time
Ability to climb up to 15 feet, and maintain balance
Manual dexterity, eye hand coordination and ability to meet physical requirements.
Must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs
Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Ability to utilize hearing protection and maintain required communication
Must be able to read and speak basic English
Environmental Factors (e.g., ability to work in extreme heat/cold, ability to work at heights over 15 feet, ability to work 3rd shift, travel, ability to work weekends/on-call).
Able to work safely on/around moving mechanical parts
Exposure to outside weather conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid condition, fumes airborne particles and vibration
Noise level is usually moderate to loud
Shift times and overtime may vary depending on production levels and processes
