Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Staff Services Manager II over the Resource Management (RM) Office, the incumbent will provide support for a variety of the Information Technology (IT) RM functions. These responsibilities include accounts payable duties; prepare, process and monitor non-IT procurements utilizing various procurement methods including the Cal-Card; assist with compilation and distribution of various reports related to RM metrics and oversight, including HR, Facilities, procurement and IT budget. In addition, the incumbent provides support to the RM budget staff and works in conjunction with the Technology Business Management team as necessary.
Must be knowledgeable of State budgeting, purchasing processes and Caltrans fiscal policies and procedures. Incumbent must be proficient in using database, spreadsheet and charting software. The ability to operate Microsoft Access and develop spreadsheets utilizing Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application is critical. Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively and tactfully. Must be able to evaluate and interpret statistical data. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and must be able to multi-task and work effectively in a team setting.
