The Transportation Engineer, Civil, under the direction of a Senior Transportation Engineer, in the Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) Branch within the Office of Highway Systems Information and Performance, is responsible for collecting, analyzing, validating, and reporting HPMS data to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

The SOQ should not be more than two pages:
1) Describe your experience of using desktop GIS or GIS web-based mapping applications.
2) Describe your data analysis experience in using Microsoft Excel, Access or other database programs.
3) Describe your ability to work effectively within a team environment.
4) Describe your experience in written communication (e.g. writing correspondence and reports) and verbal communication (e.g. giving presentations or leading meetings).
